हापुड़। शहर के मेरठ रोड फ्लाईओवर पर बुधवार को उस समय यातायात व्यवस्था पूरी तरह प्रभावित हो गई, जब एक भारी ट्रक अचानक बीच सड़क में खराब होकर खड़ा हो गया। ट्रक के बीच फ्लाईओवर पर रुक जाने से दोनों ओर वाहनों की लंबी कतारें लग गईं और कुछ ही देर में पूरा मार्ग जाम की चपेट में आ गया।

सुबह के व्यस्त समय में लगे इस जाम का सबसे अधिक असर स्कूल जाने वाले बच्चों पर पड़ा। कई स्कूली बसें और वैन लंबे समय तक जाम में फंसी रहीं, जिससे विद्यार्थियों को स्कूल पहुंचने में काफी देरी हुई। इसके अलावा कार्यालय जाने वाले कर्मचारी, दोपहिया और चारपहिया वाहन चालक भी घंटों तक जाम में फंसे रहे।

सूचना मिलने पर स्थानीय पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और यातायात को सुचारु कराने का प्रयास शुरू किया। पुलिसकर्मियों ने एक-एक लेन से वाहनों को निकालकर जाम कम करने की कोशिश की। साथ ही खराब ट्रक को सड़क से हटाने के लिए क्रेन बुलाने की व्यवस्था भी की गई।

करीब काफी देर की मशक्कत के बाद ट्रक को हटाया गया, जिसके बाद धीरे-धीरे यातायात सामान्य हो सका। हालांकि जाम खुलने के बाद भी कुछ समय तक वाहनों का दबाव बना रहा।

स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि मेरठ रोड फ्लाईओवर पर किसी भी बड़े वाहन के खराब होने या दुर्घटना होने पर पूरे शहर की यातायात व्यवस्था प्रभावित हो जाती है। लोगों ने फ्लाईओवर पर त्वरित राहत व्यवस्था और क्रेन की स्थायी तैनाती की मांग की है, ताकि भविष्य में ऐसी स्थिति से जल्द निपटा जा सके।

Hapur: Traffic movement came to a standstill on the Meerut Road Flyover in Hapur on Wednesday after a heavy truck suddenly broke down in the middle of the road. The incident triggered a massive traffic jam on both sides of the flyover, leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded for a considerable time.

The congestion occurred during the morning rush hour, severely affecting commuters. Several school buses and vans carrying students were caught in the gridlock, causing delays in reaching schools. Office-goers, private vehicles, commercial transport, and two-wheelers also remained stuck in the traffic for a long time.

After receiving information about the incident, local police rushed to the spot and initiated traffic management measures. Officers attempted to ease congestion by allowing vehicles to pass through alternate lanes while arranging for a crane to remove the stranded truck.

Following sustained efforts, the disabled truck was eventually removed from the flyover, allowing traffic to resume gradually. However, heavy vehicle movement continued for some time before normal traffic flow was restored.

Residents stated that even a single breakdown or accident on the Meerut Road Flyover is enough to disrupt traffic across a large part of the city. They urged the authorities to ensure quick-response recovery vehicles and permanent emergency arrangements on the flyover to prevent similar traffic disruptions in the future.
