हापुड़/गढ़मुक्तेश्वर। नेशनल हाईवे-9 पर गढ़मुक्तेश्वर कोतवाली क्षेत्र में पुलिस चौकी के पास दिनदहाड़े हुई चोरी की वारदात ने एक बार फिर हाईवे सुरक्षा व्यवस्था पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। हरियाणा के एक किसान की पिकअप का लॉक तोड़कर चोर नकदी से भरा बैग लेकर फरार हो गए। बैग में 80 हजार रुपये रखे थे, जो किसान ने अपने पशु बेचकर जुटाए थे। पूरी वारदात आसपास लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों में कैद हो गई है और पुलिस फुटेज के आधार पर आरोपियों की तलाश में जुटी हुई है।

जानकारी के अनुसार, हरियाणा के रेवाड़ी जिले के निवासी ओमप्रकाश यादव अपनी पिकअप से अमरोहा के गजरौला स्थित वन नर्सरी जा रहे थे। उनका उद्देश्य नर्सरी से पौधे खरीदकर अपने क्षेत्र में वृक्षारोपण और खेती से जुड़े कार्यों के लिए उन्हें ले जाना था।

रास्ते में वह गढ़मुक्तेश्वर कोतवाली क्षेत्र के स्याना चौपला के पास स्थित एक होटल पर चाय पीने के लिए रुके। उन्होंने अपनी पिकअप होटल के बाहर खड़ी की और कुछ मिनटों के लिए अंदर चले गए। इसी दौरान पहले से रेकी कर रहे दो बाइक सवार बदमाश मौके पर पहुंचे।

आरोप है कि बदमाशों ने बड़ी सफाई से पिकअप का लॉक तोड़ा और वाहन के अंदर रखा नकदी से भरा बैग लेकर कुछ ही सेकंड में फरार हो गए। जब ओमप्रकाश यादव वापस लौटे तो वाहन का लॉक टूटा हुआ मिला और बैग गायब था। बैग में रखे 80 हजार रुपये उनके लिए बेहद महत्वपूर्ण थे, क्योंकि यह रकम उन्होंने हाल ही में अपने पशु बेचकर एकत्र की थी और इसी धनराशि से पौधों की खरीदारी करनी थी।

घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और आसपास लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों की फुटेज खंगालनी शुरू की। जांच में दो संदिग्ध युवक बाइक पर आते और चोरी की वारदात को अंजाम देकर भागते हुए दिखाई दिए हैं। पुलिस फुटेज के आधार पर आरोपियों की पहचान करने और उनकी गिरफ्तारी के लिए प्रयास कर रही है।

दिनदहाड़े, वह भी पुलिस चौकी के नजदीक हुई इस घटना से स्थानीय लोगों और राहगीरों में सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को लेकर चिंता बढ़ गई है। लोगों का कहना है कि यदि पुलिस चौकी के समीप ही इस तरह की घटनाएं हो रही हैं, तो हाईवे पर यात्रियों की सुरक्षा पर गंभीर सवाल खड़े होते हैं।

क्षेत्राधिकारी (सीओ) राहुल यादव ने बताया कि मामले की जांच की जा रही है। सीसीटीवी फुटेज के आधार पर आरोपियों की पहचान का प्रयास जारी है और उन्हें जल्द गिरफ्तार करने के लिए पुलिस टीमों को लगाया गया है।

Farmer Loses ₹80,000 Collected from Livestock Sale in Daylight Theft; CCTV Captures Bike-Borne Thieves Near Highway Police Post

Hapur/Garhmukteshwar: A daylight theft near a police outpost on National Highway-9 has raised serious concerns over highway security after thieves broke into a pickup vehicle and stole a bag containing ₹80,000 in cash from a farmer travelling from Haryana. The entire incident was captured on nearby CCTV cameras, and police have launched a search for the suspects.

The victim, Om Prakash Yadav, a resident of Rewari district in Haryana, was travelling to a forest nursery in Gajraula, Amroha, to purchase saplings. According to him, the money had been collected by selling his livestock and was meant for buying plants for agricultural and plantation purposes.

During the journey, he stopped at a hotel near Syana Chaupala in the Garhmukteshwar police station area for a cup of tea. He parked his pickup outside the hotel and went inside for a few minutes.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, two motorcycle-borne men allegedly arrived at the spot, broke the lock of the pickup, stole the cash-filled bag, and escaped within moments.

When Om Prakash returned, he found the vehicle's lock broken and the bag missing. Realising that the ₹80,000 cash had been stolen, he immediately informed the police.

Police teams reached the spot and examined CCTV footage installed near the hotel and along the highway. The recordings reportedly show two suspects arriving on a motorcycle, committing the theft, and fleeing the scene. Investigators are now using the footage to identify and trace the accused.

The incident, which occurred close to a police outpost in broad daylight, has triggered questions regarding security arrangements on the busy national highway. Local residents and travellers have demanded stronger surveillance and increased police patrolling to prevent such crimes.

Circle Officer Rahul Yadav said that an investigation is underway and police are working to identify and arrest the accused with the help of CCTV footage and other available evidence.
