हापुड़। प्रेम विवाह के बाद परिजनों से जान का खतरा बताते हुए एक नवविवाहित प्रेमी जोड़ा शुक्रवार को पुलिस अधीक्षक कार्यालय पहुंचा और सुरक्षा की गुहार लगाई। दोनों का कहना है कि वे बालिग हैं और अपनी मर्जी से विवाह कर चुके हैं, लेकिन इसके बावजूद युवती के परिजन लगातार उन्हें जान से मारने और झूठे मुकदमों में फंसाने की धमकी दे रहे हैं। दंपति ने पुलिस से अपनी जान-माल की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने की मांग की है।

जानकारी के अनुसार, दोनों युवक-युवती हापुड़ जिले के एक ही क्षेत्र के निवासी हैं और लंबे समय से एक-दूसरे से प्रेम करते थे। जब दोनों ने अपने रिश्ते के बारे में परिवार वालों को बताया तो इसका कड़ा विरोध शुरू हो गया। परिजनों की नाराजगी और लगातार बढ़ते दबाव के चलते दोनों ने घर छोड़ दिया और अपनी इच्छा से विवाह कर लिया।

प्रेमी जोड़े का आरोप है कि शादी के बाद से ही युवती के परिजन लगातार उनका पीछा कर रहे हैं। फोन पर धमकियां दी जा रही हैं और उन्हें किसी भी समय नुकसान पहुंचाने की बात कही जा रही है। इतना ही नहीं, झूठे मुकदमों में फंसाने की धमकी देकर मानसिक रूप से भी प्रताड़ित किया जा रहा है। दंपति का कहना है कि भय के कारण वे सामान्य जीवन भी नहीं जी पा रहे हैं।

एसपी कार्यालय पहुंचे दंपति ने पुलिस अधिकारियों को प्रार्थना पत्र देकर सुरक्षा की मांग की। उनका कहना है कि वे दोनों बालिग हैं और संविधान द्वारा मिले अधिकारों के तहत अपनी इच्छा से साथ रहने का फैसला किया है। इसके बावजूद परिजन उनकी जान के दुश्मन बने हुए हैं। उन्होंने पुलिस से अनुरोध किया कि किसी भी अप्रिय घटना से पहले उन्हें सुरक्षा प्रदान की जाए।

मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए पुलिस अधीक्षक कार्यालय में मौजूद अधिकारियों ने दंपति को आश्वस्त किया कि यदि दोनों कानूनन बालिग हैं और विवाह वैध है तो उन्हें नियमानुसार सुरक्षा उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी। साथ ही किसी भी व्यक्ति को कानून अपने हाथ में लेने की अनुमति नहीं दी जाएगी। पुलिस ने पूरे मामले की जांच शुरू कर दी है और आवश्यक कार्रवाई किए जाने की बात कही है।

Newly Married Couple Seeks Police Protection, Alleges Threat to Life from Family Members

Hapur: A newly married couple approached the Superintendent of Police (SP) office in Hapur seeking police protection, alleging that their lives are under threat from the woman's family following their love marriage.

According to the couple, both are adults and residents of the same locality. They had been in a relationship for a considerable period and decided to marry of their own free will after facing strong opposition from their families. Unable to convince their relatives, they left home and solemnized their marriage.

The couple alleged that ever since their marriage, the woman's family has been threatening to kill them and falsely implicate them in criminal cases. They claimed they are living in constant fear and are unable to lead a normal life due to continuous intimidation.

The husband and wife submitted a written application to the SP, requesting immediate police protection. They stated that they are legally adults and have exercised their constitutional right to choose their life partner. Their only demand is protection from any possible harm.

Taking the matter seriously, police officials assured the couple that if both are legally adults and their marriage is valid, they will be provided protection in accordance with the law. The officials also made it clear that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands. Police have initiated an inquiry into the matter and said that appropriate legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
