पिलखुवा। कृष्णगंज मोहल्ले में गुरुवार को बिजली के खंभे पर लगे बिजली और इंटरनेट के तारों में अचानक आग लगने से इलाके में अफरातफरी फैल गई। कुछ ही मिनटों में आग ने कई तारों को अपनी चपेट में ले लिया, जिससे क्षेत्र की विद्युत आपूर्ति बाधित हो गई और सैकड़ों घर अंधेरे में डूब गए।

स्थानीय लोगों ने बताया कि समय रहते आसपास के लोगों ने मिलकर आग बुझाने का प्रयास किया, जिससे बड़ा हादसा टल गया। हालांकि आग की वजह से कई घरों में इनवर्टर, बैटरी, पंखे और एलईडी जैसे विद्युत उपकरण भी प्रभावित हुए।

क्षेत्रवासियों का कहना है कि जर्जर बिजली तारों की शिकायत पहले भी कई बार ऊर्जा निगम से की गई थी, लेकिन समय पर मरम्मत नहीं होने के कारण यह घटना हुई। बिजली आपूर्ति ठप होने से लोगों को भीषण गर्मी में घंटों परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ा।

घटना के बाद लोगों ने बिजली विभाग से संपर्क कर जल्द से जल्द आपूर्ति बहाल करने और पुराने तारों को बदलने की मांग की। साथ ही पूरे क्षेत्र की विद्युत लाइन की जांच कराने की भी मांग उठाई।

अधिशासी अभियंता मनीष कुमार यादव ने बताया कि सूचना मिलते ही विभागीय टीम को मौके पर भेज दिया गया था। क्षतिग्रस्त तारों की मरम्मत के बाद बिजली आपूर्ति बहाल कर दी गई है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि बिजली के खंभों पर लगे इंटरनेट केबल को हटाने के लिए संबंधित सेवा प्रदाताओं को भी निर्देश दिए जा रहे हैं।

Fire Breaks Out in Power and Internet Cables, Electricity Supply Disrupted in Hundreds of Homes

Pilkhuwa: Panic spread in Krishna Ganj locality after a fire suddenly broke out in power and internet cables attached to an electricity pole on Thursday. The flames quickly spread through the wires, interrupting electricity supply and leaving hundreds of households without power.

Residents said people from the neighbourhood acted swiftly to control the fire, preventing a major accident. However, the incident reportedly damaged electrical appliances such as inverters, batteries, fans, and LED lights in several homes.

Locals claimed that complaints regarding the deteriorating condition of the electricity wires had been made to the power department on several occasions, but no timely action had been taken. The prolonged power outage during hot weather caused significant inconvenience to residents.

Following the incident, residents urged the electricity department to replace old and damaged wires and carry out a complete inspection of the area's power infrastructure.

Executive Engineer Manish Kumar Yadav said a maintenance team was dispatched immediately after receiving the information. The damaged wires were repaired and electricity supply was restored. He also stated that internet service providers are being instructed to remove unauthorized communication cables from electricity poles.
