गढ़मुक्तेश्वर। गढ़मुक्तेश्वर के स्याना रोड पर बुधवार सुबह उस समय अफरा-तफरी मच गई, जब मेरठ नर्सिंग होम के सामने सड़क किनारे एक व्यक्ति का शव पड़ा मिला। राहगीरों ने व्यक्ति को अचेत अवस्था में देखा तो तत्काल पुलिस को सूचना दी। मौके पर पहुंची कोतवाली पुलिस ने जांच पड़ताल की, लेकिन तब तक उसकी मौत हो चुकी थी। पुलिस ने शव को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया और मामले की जांच शुरू कर दी है।

कोतवाली प्रभारी निरीक्षक देवेंद्र बिष्ट ने बताया कि सुबह करीब 10 बजे कंट्रोल रूम के माध्यम से सूचना मिली थी कि स्याना रोड स्थित मेरठ नर्सिंग होम के सामने एक व्यक्ति अचेत अवस्था में पड़ा है। सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची, जहां उसकी मौत हो चुकी थी।

पुलिस ने स्थानीय लोगों की मदद से मृतक की पहचान 40 वर्षीय लक्ष्मण पुत्र प्रीतम निवासी ग्राम खेड़ा, थाना पिलखुआ के रूप में की। बताया गया कि लक्ष्मण पिछले कुछ समय से अपनी पत्नी और बच्चों के साथ गढ़मुक्तेश्वर में रह रहा था।

प्रारंभिक जांच में सामने आया है कि मृतक शराब पीने का आदी था। आसपास मौजूद लोगों ने पुलिस को बताया कि बुधवार सुबह वह अत्यधिक नशे की हालत में इलाके में घूमता दिखाई दिया था। पुलिस का मानना है कि अत्यधिक शराब के सेवन और शारीरिक स्थिति बिगड़ने के कारण उसकी मौत हुई हो सकती है, हालांकि मौत के वास्तविक कारण का पता पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट आने के बाद ही चल सकेगा।

पुलिस ने शव का पंचनामा भरकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया है। साथ ही परिजनों को घटना की सूचना दे दी गई है। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट के आधार पर आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी। यदि जांच में कोई अन्य तथ्य सामने आते हैं तो उन्हें भी गंभीरता से शामिल किया जाएगा।

Body of a 40-Year-Old Man Found by Roadside in Garhmukteshwar; Postmortem Report to Reveal Cause of Death

Garhmukteshwar: Panic spread on Wednesday morning after the body of a man was found lying on the roadside near Meerut Nursing Home on Syana Road in Garhmukteshwar. Passersby noticed the man unconscious and immediately informed the police. A police team from Garhmukteshwar Kotwali rushed to the spot, but the man had already died. The body was taken into custody and sent for a postmortem examination, while an investigation has been initiated.

Station House Officer (SHO) Devendra Bisht said that around 10:00 a.m., the police control room received information about an unconscious man lying near Meerut Nursing Home on Syana Road. Police reached the location promptly and found that he was already dead.

With the help of local residents, the deceased was identified as Laxman (40), son of Pritam, a resident of Khera village under Pilkhuwa police station. According to the police, Laxman had been living in Garhmukteshwar with his wife and children for some time.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the deceased was addicted to alcohol. Local residents told the police that he had been seen wandering in the area on Wednesday morning in a heavily intoxicated state. Police suspect that excessive alcohol consumption and a deteriorating physical condition may have led to his death. However, the exact cause of death will only be confirmed after the postmortem report is received.

The police completed the necessary legal formalities and sent the body for postmortem. The deceased's family has been informed about the incident. Officials stated that further action will be taken based on the findings of the postmortem report, and any additional facts that emerge during the investigation will also be thoroughly examined.
