हापुड़। परिवहन विभाग ने जनपद के विभिन्न थानों में लंबे समय से जब्त खड़े वाहनों की नीलामी कर सरकारी राजस्व में बड़ी बढ़ोतरी की है। बुधवार को उप संभागीय परिवहन कार्यालय परिसर में दो चरणों में आयोजित नीलामी में कुल 136 वाहनों की बिक्री हुई, जिससे सरकार को 27.72 लाख रुपये का राजस्व प्राप्त हुआ। नीलामी प्रक्रिया प्रशासनिक अधिकारियों की मौजूदगी में पूरी पारदर्शिता के साथ संपन्न कराई गई।

पहले चरण में मोटर वाहन अधिनियम की धारा-207(1) के तहत विभिन्न थानों में निरुद्ध कुल 119 वाहनों की नीलामी उपजिलाधिकारी सुश्री रेनू की अध्यक्षता में कराई गई। इस दौरान क्षेत्राधिकारी यातायात जितेंद्र शर्मा, सहायक संभागीय परिवहन अधिकारी (प्रवर्तन) रमेश कुमार चौबे, सहायक संभागीय परिवहन अधिकारी (प्रशासन) छवि सिंह चौहान, यात्रीकर अधिकारी प्रीति पाण्डेय, यातायात निरीक्षक नरेश कुमार सहित अन्य अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।

नीलामी में कुल 17 बोलीदाताओं ने हिस्सा लिया। बाबूगढ़, गढ़मुक्तेश्वर, कोतवाली नगर, पिलखुवा, धौलाना और हाफिजपुर थाना क्षेत्रों में जब्त वाहनों की बोली लगाई गई। प्रतिस्पर्धी बोली के चलते वाहनों की बिक्री न्यूनतम मूल्य से अधिक पर हुई और इस चरण में 16.76 लाख रुपये की धनराशि प्राप्त हुई।

इसके बाद उत्तर प्रदेश मोटर कराधान अधिनियम-1997 की धारा-22 के उल्लंघन में 45 दिनों से अधिक समय से विभिन्न थानों में निरुद्ध वाहनों की नीलामी की गई। अपर परिवहन आयुक्त (राजस्व) उत्तर प्रदेश, लखनऊ से प्राप्त अनुमति के आधार पर यह कार्रवाई उप परिवहन आयुक्त मेरठ परिक्षेत्र हरिशंकर सिंह की अध्यक्षता में गठित समिति के समक्ष संपन्न हुई।

दूसरे चरण में नीलामी के लिए स्वीकृत 17 वाहनों की बोली लगाई गई, जिसमें 13 बोलीदाताओं ने प्रतिभाग किया। सभी प्रतिभागियों ने निर्धारित प्रतिभूति राशि जमा कराई। अधिकारियों के विशेष प्रयासों से सभी वाहनों की बिक्री न्यूनतम निर्धारित मूल्य से अधिक पर हुई, जिससे 10.96 लाख रुपये का राजस्व प्राप्त हुआ।

परिवहन विभाग के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि इस तरह की कार्रवाई से लंबे समय से थानों में खड़े वाहनों का निस्तारण होने के साथ-साथ सरकारी राजस्व में भी वृद्धि होती है। विभाग भविष्य में भी नियमानुसार ऐसी नीलामी की कार्रवाई जारी रखेगा।

136 Seized Vehicles Auctioned in Hapur, ₹2.772 Million Added to Government Revenue

Hapur: The Transport Department significantly boosted government revenue by auctioning vehicles that had been lying seized at various police stations across Hapur district for a long time. A total of 136 vehicles were auctioned in two phases on Wednesday at the Sub-Divisional Transport Office premises, generating ₹27.72 lakh (₹2.772 million) for the state exchequer. The auction process was conducted transparently in the presence of senior administrative officials.

In the first phase, 119 vehicles seized under Section 207(1) of the Motor Vehicles Act were auctioned under the chairmanship of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ms. Renu. The auction was attended by Circle Officer (Traffic) Jitendra Sharma, Assistant Regional Transport Officer (Enforcement) Ramesh Kumar Chaubey, Assistant Regional Transport Officer (Administration) Chhavi Singh Chauhan, Passenger Tax Officer Preeti Pandey, Traffic Inspector Naresh Kumar, and other officials.

A total of 17 bidders participated in the auction. Vehicles seized in the jurisdictions of Babugarh, Garhmukteshwar, Kotwali Nagar, Pilkhuwa, Dhaulana, and Hafizpur police stations were put up for bidding. Due to competitive bidding, all vehicles were sold above their reserve prices, generating ₹16.76 lakh in revenue.

In the second phase, vehicles detained for more than 45 days under Section 22 of the Uttar Pradesh Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1997 were auctioned. The auction was conducted with the approval of the Additional Transport Commissioner (Revenue), Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, before a committee constituted under the chairmanship of Deputy Transport Commissioner, Meerut Region, Harishankar Singh.

A total of 17 approved vehicles were auctioned in the second phase, with 13 bidders participating after depositing the prescribed security amount. Through competitive bidding and the efforts of the officials, all vehicles were sold above their minimum reserve prices, generating an additional ₹10.96 lakh in revenue.

Transport Department officials stated that such auctions help clear long-pending seized vehicles from police stations while simultaneously increasing government revenue. The department will continue to conduct similar auctions in accordance with the law in the future.
