हापुड़। 27वें कारगिल विजय दिवस के अवसर पर शनिवार को कलेक्ट्रेट सभागार में जिला सैनिक कल्याण एवं पुनर्वास कार्यालय की ओर से भावपूर्ण कार्यक्रम आयोजित कर कारगिल के वीर शहीदों और पूर्व सैनिकों के अदम्य साहस, शौर्य एवं बलिदान को श्रद्धापूर्वक नमन किया गया। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता जिलाधिकारी एवं जिला सैनिक कल्याण एवं पुनर्वास समिति की अध्यक्ष श्रीमती कविता मीना (आईएएस) ने की।

कार्यक्रम में जिलाधिकारी कविता मीना ने कारगिल युद्ध के दौरान देश की रक्षा के लिए अपने प्राणों की आहुति देने वाले वीर सैनिकों को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करते हुए कहा कि कारगिल विजय दिवस केवल एक तिथि नहीं, बल्कि भारतीय सेना के अद्वितीय पराक्रम, राष्ट्रभक्ति और बलिदान का प्रतीक है। उन्होंने कहा कि देश सदैव अपने वीर जवानों और शहीदों के ऋण से ऋणी रहेगा तथा आने वाली पीढ़ियों को उनके त्याग और वीरता से प्रेरणा लेनी चाहिए।

इस अवसर पर जिलाधिकारी ने कारगिल शहीद स्वर्गीय राज सिंह (17 जाट) की वीरांगना पत्नी श्रीमती मुन्केश देवी, निवासी सैनिक कॉलोनी, बाबूगढ़ छावनी को शॉल ओढ़ाकर एवं स्मृति चिन्ह भेंट कर सम्मानित किया। सम्मान के दौरान सभागार तालियों की गड़गड़ाहट से गूंज उठा और उपस्थित लोगों ने वीर परिवार के प्रति अपनी भावनाएं व्यक्त कीं।

कार्यक्रम में कारगिल युद्ध में भाग लेने वाले पूर्व सैनिकों का भी विशेष रूप से अभिनंदन किया गया। उन्होंने युद्ध से जुड़े अपने अनुभव साझा करते हुए देशभक्ति, अनुशासन और राष्ट्र सेवा की भावना को जीवन का सर्वोच्च आदर्श बताया।

इस अवसर पर जिला सैनिक कल्याण एवं पुनर्वास अधिकारी लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल विवेक सिंह, जिला सैनिक बंधु के उपाध्यक्ष वारंट ऑफिसर मनबीर सिंह, पूर्व सैनिक संघ के जिलाध्यक्ष कैप्टन राजेश, एईडीसी के जिलाध्यक्ष हवलदार शाहिद अली, कैप्टन महीपाल सिंह सहित बड़ी संख्या में कारगिल युद्ध में भाग लेने वाले पूर्व सैनिक उपस्थित रहे। कार्यक्रम का समापन राष्ट्रगान के साथ हुआ।

DM Kavita Meena Honors Kargil War Hero’s Widow on 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas in Hapur

Hapur: The 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas was commemorated with great pride and patriotism at the Collectorate Auditorium in Hapur on Saturday. The event was organized by the District Sainik Welfare and Rehabilitation Office under the leadership of District Magistrate and Chairperson of the District Sainik Welfare and Rehabilitation Committee, Mrs. Kavita Meena (IAS), to pay tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1999 Kargil War.

Addressing the gathering, DM Kavita Meena said that Kargil Vijay Diwas symbolizes the courage, dedication, and supreme sacrifice of India's armed forces. She emphasized that the nation will always remain indebted to its martyrs and urged the younger generation to draw inspiration from their patriotism and commitment to national service.

During the ceremony, the District Magistrate felicitated Mrs. Munkesh Devi, widow of Martyr Raj Singh (17 Jat Regiment) and resident of Sainik Colony, Babugarh Cantonment, by presenting her with a shawl and a commemorative memento in recognition of her family's supreme sacrifice for the nation.

The event also honored several veterans who participated in the Kargil War. They shared their experiences from the battlefield and encouraged the youth to uphold the values of discipline, patriotism, and selfless service.

Among those present were District Sainik Welfare and Rehabilitation Officer Lt. Col. Vivek Singh, Vice-Chairman of District Sainik Bandhu Warrant Officer Manbir Singh, District President of Ex-Servicemen Association Captain Rajesh, District President of AEDC Havildar Shahid Ali, Captain Mahipal Singh, and a large number of ex-servicemen who had served during the Kargil War. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem and a heartfelt tribute to the nation's heroes.
