हापुड़। जनपद हापुड़ में शनिवार तड़के गंगा एक्सप्रेसवे पर एक बड़ा हादसा टल गया। दिल्ली से सिद्धार्थनगर जा रही एक निजी एसी डबल डेकर स्लीपर बस में अचानक आग लग गई। कुछ ही मिनटों में आग ने विकराल रूप धारण कर लिया और पूरी बस धू-धू कर जलने लगी। बस में करीब 16 यात्री सवार थे, जो उस समय गहरी नींद में सो रहे थे। चालक की सतर्कता और त्वरित निर्णय के कारण सभी यात्रियों को समय रहते सुरक्षित बाहर निकाल लिया गया, जिससे किसी प्रकार की जनहानि नहीं हुई।

जानकारी के अनुसार, घटना बहादुरगढ़ थाना क्षेत्र में गंगा एक्सप्रेसवे पर गांव आलमनगर के निकट शनिवार तड़के करीब तीन बजे हुई। काशी विश्वनाथ ट्रैवल्स की एसी स्लीपर बस दिल्ली से यात्रियों को लेकर सिद्धार्थनगर जा रही थी। सफर के दौरान बस से अचानक धुआं निकलना शुरू हुआ। चालक ने स्थिति को भांपते हुए तत्काल बस को सड़क किनारे रोक दिया।

इसके बाद चालक ने बिना देर किए बस में सो रहे यात्रियों को जगाया और उन्हें सुरक्षित बाहर निकालना शुरू कर दिया। कुछ यात्री मुख्य दरवाजे से बाहर निकले, जबकि कुछ को खिड़कियों के रास्ते बाहर निकालना पड़ा। जान बचाने की जल्दबाजी में कुछ यात्रियों ने बस से छलांग लगाकर भी बाहर निकलने का प्रयास किया। चालक की तत्परता के चलते सभी यात्री सुरक्षित बच गए।

प्रारंभिक जानकारी के अनुसार, आग लगने का कारण शॉर्ट सर्किट माना जा रहा है। आग इतनी तेजी से फैली कि देखते ही देखते पूरी बस उसकी चपेट में आ गई और वाहन पूरी तरह जलकर राख हो गया।

घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस और दमकल विभाग की टीमें मौके पर पहुंच गईं। दमकल कर्मियों ने काफी प्रयास के बाद आग पर काबू पाया, लेकिन तब तक बस पूरी तरह नष्ट हो चुकी थी। पुलिस ने यात्रियों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करते हुए उनके आगे के सफर के लिए वैकल्पिक वाहन उपलब्ध कराए और उन्हें उनके गंतव्य के लिए रवाना किया।

घटना के दौरान कुछ समय तक एक्सप्रेसवे पर अफरा-तफरी का माहौल बना रहा। हालांकि राहत की बात यह रही कि इस हादसे में किसी यात्री के घायल होने या किसी प्रकार की जनहानि की सूचना नहीं है। चालक की सूझबूझ और समय पर की गई कार्रवाई ने संभावित बड़े हादसे को टाल दिया। पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है और आग लगने के वास्तविक कारणों का पता लगाया जा रहा है।

16 Passengers Escape as Sleeper Bus Catches Fire on Ganga Expressway in Hapur

Hapur, Uttar Pradesh: A major tragedy was averted in the early hours of Saturday after a private double-decker AC sleeper bus caught fire on the Ganga Expressway in Hapur district. The bus, travelling from Delhi to Siddharthnagar with around 16 passengers on board, was engulfed in flames. Thanks to the driver's quick thinking, all passengers were evacuated safely before the fire spread.

The incident occurred near Alamnagar village under Bahadurgarh police station limits at around 3 a.m. According to initial information, smoke was first noticed coming from the bus while it was moving on the expressway. The driver immediately pulled the vehicle over to the roadside and alerted the sleeping passengers.

Passengers were evacuated through the main door and windows, while a few had to jump out to save themselves as the flames intensified. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported.

Preliminary findings suggest that the fire may have been caused by an electrical short circuit. Within minutes, the blaze spread across the vehicle, reducing the entire bus to ashes.

Police and fire department teams reached the spot soon after receiving the information. Firefighters managed to extinguish the flames after considerable effort. Authorities later arranged alternative transport for the stranded passengers so they could continue their journey safely.

Officials said the timely response of the driver prevented what could have turned into a major disaster. The exact cause of the fire is being investigated.
