हापुड। श्रावण मास की कांवड़ यात्रा-2026 को सुरक्षित, व्यवस्थित और शांतिपूर्ण ढंग से संपन्न कराने के लिए मेरठ परिक्षेत्र पुलिस ने तैयारियां तेज कर दी हैं। पुलिस उपमहानिरीक्षक (डीआईजी) कलानिधि नैथानी के निर्देश पर मेरठ, हापुड़, बुलंदशहर और बागपत जनपदों में कांवड़ मार्गों का व्यापक भौतिक सत्यापन कराया गया है। इस दौरान सड़क सुरक्षा से जुड़े 441 स्थान और विद्युत सुरक्षा से संबंधित 673 संवेदनशील स्थान चिन्हित किए गए हैं, जहां संबंधित विभागों के सहयोग से सुधार कार्य तेजी से कराया जा रहा है।

डीआईजी कलानिधि नैथानी ने बताया कि इस बार कांवड़ यात्रा के दौरान सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को और अधिक प्रभावी बनाने के लिए ड्यूटी पर तैनात होने वाले प्रत्येक पुलिस अधिकारी और कर्मचारी को ग्रुपवार व्यवहारिक (प्रैक्टिकल) प्रशिक्षण दिया जाएगा। प्रशिक्षण पूरा करने के बाद ही पुलिस कर्मियों की ड्यूटी लगाई जाएगी, ताकि किसी भी आपात स्थिति में वे बेहतर ढंग से अपनी जिम्मेदारियों का निर्वहन कर सकें।

प्रशिक्षण के दौरान पुलिस कर्मियों को भीड़ प्रबंधन, आपातकालीन परिस्थितियों में त्वरित कार्रवाई, श्रद्धालुओं विशेषकर महिलाओं, बुजुर्गों और बच्चों के साथ संवेदनशील एवं शालीन व्यवहार, यातायात संचालन, कानून-व्यवस्था बनाए रखने तथा तनावपूर्ण परिस्थितियों में धैर्य एवं संयम के साथ कार्य करने का प्रशिक्षण दिया जाएगा।

इसके साथ ही प्रत्येक पुलिसकर्मी को उसके ड्यूटी क्षेत्र से जुड़े कांवड़ मार्ग, शिविर, चिकित्सा केंद्र, पेयजल व्यवस्था, पुलिस सहायता केंद्र, रूट डायवर्जन और वैकल्पिक मार्गों की विस्तृत जानकारी भी उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी, ताकि जरूरत पड़ने पर श्रद्धालुओं को तत्काल सहायता मिल सके।

पुलिस अधिकारियों, थाना प्रभारियों, चौकी प्रभारियों और बीट पुलिस द्वारा कांवड़ मार्गों का व्यापक निरीक्षण कराया गया। निरीक्षण के दौरान सड़क पर गड्ढे, निर्माण सामग्री, अवरोध, क्षतिग्रस्त मार्ग तथा अन्य बाधाओं को चिन्हित कर संबंधित विभागों को तत्काल कार्रवाई के निर्देश दिए गए हैं।

भौतिक सत्यापन में सड़क सुरक्षा से जुड़े कुल 441 स्थान चिन्हित हुए हैं। इनमें मेरठ में 202, बुलंदशहर में 139, बागपत में 36 और हापुड़ में 64 स्थान शामिल हैं, जहां सुधार कार्य जारी है।

वहीं विद्युत सुरक्षा को लेकर भी विशेष सतर्कता बरती जा रही है। निरीक्षण के दौरान झुके हुए बिजली के पोल, नीचे लटकते और खुले बिजली के तार, बिना बैरिकेडिंग वाले ट्रांसफार्मर तथा कांवड़ मार्ग के निकट स्थित विद्युत उपकरणों सहित कुल 673 संवेदनशील स्थान चिन्हित किए गए हैं। इनमें मेरठ में 141, बुलंदशहर में 249, बागपत में 187 और हापुड़ में 96 स्थान शामिल हैं। बिजली विभाग और स्थानीय निकायों के सहयोग से इन सभी स्थानों पर सुधार कार्य कराया जा रहा है।

डीआईजी कलानिधि नैथानी ने निर्देश दिए हैं कि श्रावण मास शुरू होने से पहले सभी चिन्हित स्थानों पर आवश्यक सुधार कार्य हर हाल में पूरे कर लिए जाएं। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि सुरक्षा व्यवस्था में किसी भी प्रकार की लापरवाही स्वीकार नहीं की जाएगी और प्रशिक्षित पुलिस बल ही कांवड़ यात्रा में तैनात किया जाएगा।

Meerut Range Steps Up Kanwar Yatra-2026 Preparations; 1,114 Vulnerable Spots Identified, Police to Receive Practical Training

Hapur: Ahead of the upcoming Kanwar Yatra-2026, the Meerut Range Police has intensified preparations to ensure a safe, peaceful and well-organized pilgrimage. Acting on the directions of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Kalanidhi Naithani, extensive physical verification of Kanwar routes has been conducted across Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr and Baghpat districts.

During the inspection, 441 road safety issues and 673 electricity-related vulnerable locations were identified. The concerned departments, including the electricity department and civic authorities, have been directed to complete corrective measures before the commencement of the holy month of Shravan.

DIG Naithani said that every police officer and constable assigned to Kanwar duty will undergo group-wise practical training before deployment. The training will focus on crowd management, emergency response, traffic regulation, disaster handling, and courteous behaviour towards devotees, particularly women, senior citizens and children.

Police personnel will also be briefed about Kanwar routes, camps, medical facilities, drinking water points, police assistance centres, traffic diversions and alternative routes to enable them to provide prompt assistance whenever required.

The physical verification revealed 441 road-related problem spots, including damaged roads, potholes, construction material and other obstructions. District-wise, Meerut reported 202 locations, Bulandshahr 139, Baghpat 36 and Hapur 64.

Similarly, 673 electricity-sensitive locations were identified where leaning electric poles, low-hanging or exposed wires, unsafe transformers and other electrical hazards posed potential risks to Kanwariyas. These include 141 locations in Meerut, 249 in Bulandshahr, 187 in Baghpat and 96 in Hapur.

The DIG has instructed all departments to complete the necessary rectification work before the Kanwar Yatra begins and emphasized that only trained police personnel will be deployed to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
