ओवरस्पीड पर चलेगा प्रशासन का शिकंजा, हापुड़ में हाईवे पर लगेंगे स्पीड कैमरे

हापुड़। जनपद में लगातार बढ़ रही सड़क दुर्घटनाओं को गंभीरता से लेते हुए जिला प्रशासन ने अब ओवरस्पीड वाहनों पर सख्ती का फैसला किया है। जिलाधिकारी कविता मीना की अध्यक्षता में बुधवार को आयोजित जिला स्तरीय सड़क सुरक्षा समिति की बैठक में राष्ट्रीय राजमार्गों पर स्पीड कैमरे लगाने, ब्लैक स्पॉट का दोबारा सर्वे कराने, अवैध ढाबों व अतिक्रमण पर कार्रवाई तथा बिना फिटनेस और परमिट के चल रहे स्कूल वाहनों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई के निर्देश दिए गए।

कलेक्ट्रेट सभागार में आयोजित बैठक में एनएचएआई, लोक निर्माण विभाग, परिवहन विभाग, उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य सड़क परिवहन निगम, शिक्षा विभाग सहित विभिन्न विभागों के अधिकारी मौजूद रहे। बैठक के दौरान जिलाधिकारी ने कहा कि जिले में होने वाली अधिकांश सड़क दुर्घटनाओं का मुख्य कारण ओवरस्पीड है। ऐसे में दुर्घटनाओं पर प्रभावी नियंत्रण के लिए राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग-9 और एनएच-334 पर आधुनिक स्पीड मॉनिटरिंग कैमरे लगाए जाएं, ताकि तेज रफ्तार वाहनों पर तत्काल कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित हो सके।

जिलाधिकारी ने एनएचएआई गाजियाबाद और मुरादाबाद के अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि राष्ट्रीय राजमार्गों पर चिन्हित सभी ब्लैक स्पॉट का दोबारा भौतिक निरीक्षण कराया जाए। जहां लगातार दुर्घटनाएं हो रही हैं, वहां इंजीनियरिंग सुधार, चेतावनी संकेतक, बैरिकेडिंग और अन्य सुरक्षा उपाय तत्काल लागू किए जाएं।

बैठक में राष्ट्रीय राजमार्गों के किनारे संचालित अवैध ढाबों और अतिक्रमण का भी मुद्दा उठा। जिलाधिकारी ने स्पष्ट निर्देश दिए कि सड़क सुरक्षा में बाधा बनने वाले सभी अवैध निर्माणों और अतिक्रमण को हटाने के लिए लगातार अभियान चलाया जाए, जिससे दुर्घटनाओं की संभावना कम हो सके।

स्कूली बच्चों की सुरक्षा को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता देते हुए जिलाधिकारी ने जिला विद्यालय निरीक्षक और जिला बेसिक शिक्षा अधिकारी को निर्देश दिए कि बिना फिटनेस प्रमाणपत्र और बिना परमिट संचालित स्कूल वाहनों के खिलाफ तत्काल कार्रवाई की जाए। परिवहन विभाग ने बताया कि ऐसे कई स्कूल वाहनों के पंजीकरण पहले ही निलंबित किए जा चुके हैं और आगे भी अभियान जारी रहेगा।

आगामी कांवड़ यात्रा को देखते हुए बैठक में यातायात व्यवस्था को लेकर भी विस्तृत चर्चा हुई। अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए गए कि कांवड़ मार्गों पर सुचारु यातायात, डायवर्जन व्यवस्था, सुरक्षा और आपातकालीन सेवाओं के संचालन के लिए सभी आवश्यक तैयारियां समय रहते पूरी कर ली जाएं। बैठक के अंत में सहायक संभागीय परिवहन अधिकारी (प्रवर्तन) रमेश कुमार चौबे ने सभी अधिकारियों का आभार व्यक्त किया।

DM Orders Speed Cameras on Highways as Hapur Tightens Road Safety Measures

Hapur, July 22: Taking serious note of the rising number of road accidents in the district, District Magistrate Kavita Meena chaired the District Road Safety Committee meeting on Wednesday and directed officials to strengthen enforcement on highways. The administration decided to install over-speed detection cameras on National Highways, re-inspect accident-prone black spots, remove illegal encroachments and roadside eateries, and take strict action against school vehicles operating without valid fitness certificates or permits.

The meeting was attended by officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Public Works Department (PWD), Transport Department, Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, Education Department, and members of the Road Safety Committee.

Expressing concern over the increasing number of road accidents, the District Magistrate said that overspeeding has emerged as the primary cause of fatal crashes in the district. She instructed NHAI officials from Ghaziabad and Moradabad to install speed enforcement cameras on both stretches of the National Highway to curb reckless driving.

The District Magistrate also directed officials to conduct a fresh physical inspection of all identified black spots and implement immediate engineering and safety improvements at locations witnessing repeated accidents.

She further ordered continuous action against illegal roadside dhabas and encroachments along the highways, stating that such obstructions pose a significant threat to road safety.

Emphasizing the safety of school children, the District Magistrate instructed the District Inspector of Schools and the Basic Education Officer to initiate strict action against schools operating vehicles without valid fitness certificates or permits. Transport officials informed the meeting that registrations of several such vehicles had already been suspended.

Special directions were also issued to ensure smooth traffic management and adequate arrangements during the upcoming Kanwar Yatra. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Assistant Regional Transport Officer (Enforcement) Ramesh Kumar Chaubey.
