दर्दनाक हादसा, दो की मौत, आठ गंभीर घायल

हापुड़। जनपद के गढ़मुक्तेश्वर कोतवाली क्षेत्र में रविवार को दिल्ली-लखनऊ राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग पर एक भीषण सड़क हादसे ने दो परिवारों की खुशियां छीन लीं। गोवंश को बचाने के प्रयास में दो तेज रफ्तार कारों की जोरदार टक्कर हो गई। हादसा इतना भीषण था कि उसी दौरान हाईवे से गुजर रहा एक स्कूटी सवार दोनों वाहनों की चपेट में आकर नीचे दब गया और उसकी मौके पर ही दर्दनाक मौत हो गई। हादसे में एक अन्य व्यक्ति की भी जान चली गई, जबकि करीब आठ लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए।

प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, हाईवे पर अचानक गोवंश आ जाने से एक कार चालक ने वाहन को बचाने का प्रयास किया। इसी दौरान पीछे से आ रही दूसरी कार अनियंत्रित होकर उससे जा भिड़ी। टक्कर इतनी जबरदस्त थी कि दोनों वाहनों के परखच्चे उड़ गए। इसी बीच वहां से गुजर रहा स्कूटी सवार युवक दोनों कारों के बीच फंस गया और गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया। मौके पर मौजूद लोगों ने उसे बाहर निकालने का प्रयास किया, लेकिन तब तक उसकी मौत हो चुकी थी।

दुर्घटना के बाद घटनास्थल पर चीख-पुकार मच गई। हाईवे पर लंबा जाम लग गया और राहगीरों ने तत्काल पुलिस और एंबुलेंस को सूचना दी। सूचना मिलते ही गढ़मुक्तेश्वर कोतवाली पुलिस इंस्पेक्टर देवेंद्र बिष्ट और सीओ राहुल यादव पहुंचे और राहत-बचाव दल मौके पर पहुंचा। पुलिस ने स्थानीय लोगों की मदद से घायलों को एंबुलेंस के माध्यम से अस्पताल भिजवाया, जहां उनका उपचार जारी है। घायलों में कुछ की हालत गंभीर बताई जा रही है।

हादसे के बाद पुलिस ने क्षतिग्रस्त वाहनों को सड़क से हटवाकर यातायात को सुचारु कराया। मृतकों के शवों को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया गया है। पुलिस मृतकों की पहचान कराने के साथ-साथ हादसे के कारणों की गहन जांच कर रही है।

प्रारंभिक जांच में सामने आया है कि हादसे की मुख्य वजह हाईवे पर अचानक गोवंश का आ जाना माना जा रहा है। पुलिस पूरे घटनाक्रम की जांच कर रही है और प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के बयान भी दर्ज किए जा रहे हैं।

Hapur: A devastating road accident claimed two lives and left around eight people seriously injured on the Delhi–Lucknow National Highway under the Garhmukteshwar police station area of Hapur district on Sunday. According to preliminary information, the accident occurred when two cars collided while attempting to avoid hitting cattle that had suddenly strayed onto the highway.

The impact of the collision was so severe that a scooter rider passing through the spot was trapped beneath the vehicles. He died on the spot due to critical injuries. Another person also lost his life in the accident, while several others sustained serious injuries.

Eyewitnesses said one of the car drivers tried to steer away after noticing cattle on the highway. Moments later, another speeding car crashed into it, resulting in a violent collision. The force of the impact severely damaged both vehicles and dragged the scooter rider into the wreckage.

The accident triggered panic on the highway, with screams for help echoing across the area. Traffic came to a standstill as local residents rushed to rescue the victims and alerted the police and emergency services.

Garhmukteshwar police, along with emergency response teams, reached the scene promptly. The injured were rescued and shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities said the condition of some of the injured remains critical.

Police later cleared the damaged vehicles from the highway to restore traffic movement. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination, and an investigation has been launched to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. Initial findings suggest that the sudden appearance of cattle on the highway led to the tragic chain of events.
