पहली पत्नी निकाह में पहुंची तो दूल्हा हुआ फरार, दूसरी शादी रुकवाई

हापुड़। शहर के मजीदपुरा क्षेत्र में एक निकाह उस समय चर्चा का विषय बन गया, जब दूल्हे की पहली पत्नी अचानक शादी समारोह में पहुंच गई और दूसरी शादी का विरोध करते हुए जमकर हंगामा कर दिया। पहली पत्नी के विरोध के बाद निकाह की रस्में रुक गईं और आरोप है कि दूल्हा मौके से फरार हो गया। घटना की सूचना मिलने पर पुलिस भी मौके पर पहुंची। पीड़िता ने तहरीर देकर पति और ससुराल पक्ष के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग की है।

पीड़िता फरहाना का आरोप है कि उसकी शादी करीब सात वर्ष पहले आस मोहम्मद से मुस्लिम रीति-रिवाज के अनुसार हुई थी। शादी के कुछ समय बाद से ही पति और ससुराल पक्ष द्वारा दहेज की मांग को लेकर उसका मानसिक और शारीरिक उत्पीड़न किया जाने लगा। उसने आरोप लगाया कि पति और उसके परिजनों ने पहले ढाई लाख रुपये की मांग की थी। यह रकम जुटाने के लिए उसे और उसकी बहन को अपने जेवर तक बेचने पड़े, लेकिन इसके बावजूद ससुराल पक्ष की मांगें खत्म नहीं हुईं।

फरहाना का कहना है कि इसके बाद पति और उसके परिवार ने उससे 10 लाख रुपये की अतिरिक्त मांग करनी शुरू कर दी। मांग पूरी न होने पर उसे प्रताड़ित किया गया, जिसके चलते उसने पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराई। मामला वर्तमान में न्यायालय में विचाराधीन है और दहेज उत्पीड़न से संबंधित मुकदमे की सुनवाई चल रही है।

फरहाना के अनुसार मुकदमे की तारीख थी, जिसमें उसके पति आस मोहम्मद को भी न्यायालय में उपस्थित होना था, लेकिन वह पेश नहीं हुआ। जब उसने फोन के माध्यम से जानकारी जुटाई तो उसे पता चला कि आस मोहम्मद हापुड़ के मजीदपुरा क्षेत्र में दूसरी शादी करने जा रहा है। इसके बाद वह तत्काल शादी स्थल पर पहुंच गई।

आरोप है कि जैसे ही फरहाना निकाह स्थल पर पहुंची और उसने अपने पति को सेहरा बांधे निकाह के लिए बैठा देखा, उसने दूसरी शादी का विरोध शुरू कर दिया। अचानक हुए घटनाक्रम से शादी समारोह में अफरा-तफरी मच गई। फरहाना ने सभी के सामने खुद को आस मोहम्मद की विधिवत पत्नी बताते हुए दूसरी शादी को गैरकानूनी और अन्यायपूर्ण बताया। उसके विरोध के चलते निकाह की रस्में बीच में ही रुक गईं।

पीड़िता का आरोप है कि उसे देखते ही आस मोहम्मद मौके से फरार हो गया। इसके बाद उसने पुलिस को सूचना देकर पूरे मामले की जानकारी दी और पति के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई की मांग की।

पुलिस का कहना है कि पीड़िता की ओर से दी गई तहरीर प्राप्त हुई है। मामले की जांच की जा रही है और जांच के आधार पर अग्रिम वैधानिक कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

Bridegroom Flees After First Wife Arrives at Nikah, Second Marriage Halted Amid Dowry Harassment Allegations

Hapur: A wedding ceremony in the Majidpura area of Hapur turned dramatic when the groom’s first wife unexpectedly arrived at the nikah venue and protested against his alleged second marriage. Following her objection, the wedding ceremony was halted, and it is alleged that the groom fled the scene. Police were informed of the incident, and the woman later submitted a written complaint seeking legal action against her husband and his family.

According to the complainant, Farhana, she married Aas Mohammad around seven years ago in accordance with Muslim customs and traditions. She alleged that soon after the marriage, her husband and in-laws began mentally and physically harassing her while repeatedly demanding dowry.

Farhana claimed that her husband and his family initially demanded ₹2.5 lakh. To arrange the money, she and her sister allegedly sold their jewellery. However, she said the demands did not stop even after the payment.

She further alleged that her husband and his family later demanded an additional ₹10 lakh. When she was unable to meet the demand, she was allegedly subjected to further harassment, prompting her to file a police complaint. The dowry harassment case is currently pending before a court.

According to Farhana, her husband was required to appear in court on the scheduled hearing date but failed to do so. While trying to find out why he was absent, she allegedly learned that he was getting married again in Hapur’s Majidpura area. She immediately rushed to the wedding venue.

Farhana alleged that she found Aas Mohammad seated for the nikah wearing the traditional groom’s attire. She objected to the marriage, identifying herself as his legally wedded wife. The unexpected confrontation created chaos at the venue, and the wedding ceremony was stopped.

The complainant further alleged that upon seeing her, Aas Mohammad fled from the venue. She then informed the police and submitted a written complaint demanding legal action against her husband.

Police said they have received the complaint and have initiated an inquiry. Appropriate legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
