हापुड़। वन स्टॉप सेंटर में रह रही पीड़िताओं से अनुचित कार्य कराए जाने के आरोपों के बाद प्रशासन ने सख्त कार्रवाई करते हुए एक काउंसलर को तत्काल प्रभाव से पद से हटा दिया है। मामले की विभागीय जांच जारी है और दोष सिद्ध होने पर उनकी सेवाएं समाप्त की जा सकती हैं।

मामला उस समय सामने आया जब जून महीने में एक अधिवक्ता ने शिकायत दर्ज कराते हुए आरोप लगाया कि सेंटर में रहने वाली कुछ पीड़िताओं से घरेलू कार्य कराए जाते हैं। शिकायत में यह भी कहा गया कि एक काउंसलर पीड़िताओं से सिर की मालिश, हाथ-पैर दबवाने और बालों से जूं निकलवाने जैसे निजी कार्य करवाती थीं। शिकायत के साथ एक वीडियो भी उपलब्ध कराया गया था।

शिकायत मिलने के बाद जिला प्रशासन ने मामले को गंभीरता से लिया। जिला अधिकारी के निर्देश पर जिला प्रोबेशन अधिकारी ने जांच शुरू कराई। प्रारंभिक जांच के आधार पर संबंधित काउंसलर रविता चौहान को वन स्टॉप सेंटर से हटा दिया गया है। वहीं, सेंटर की प्रबंधक को अंतिम चेतावनी जारी की गई है तथा अन्य कर्मचारियों को भी नियमों का कड़ाई से पालन करने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं।

जिला प्रोबेशन अधिकारी स्मिता सिंह ने बताया कि जांच पूरी होने के बाद यदि आरोप सही पाए जाते हैं तो संबंधित काउंसलर की सेवा समाप्त करने की कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

जांच के दौरान काउंसलर ने अपने स्पष्टीकरण में कहा कि उनकी तबीयत खराब थी और दवा लेने के बाद वह आराम कर रही थीं। उनके अनुसार, पीड़िता कब उनके पास आकर बालों से खेलने लगी, इसकी उन्हें जानकारी नहीं हुई। हालांकि, प्रारंभिक जांच में यह स्पष्टीकरण संतोषजनक नहीं माना गया। अधिकारियों के अनुसार वायरल वीडियो में प्रथम दृष्टया ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि पीड़िता से काउंसलर के बालों की जूं निकलवाई जा रही थी।

अधिकारियों ने सेंटर में लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों की रिकॉर्डिंग भी जांची है। फिलहाल 19 जून से 29 जून तक का फुटेज उपलब्ध हुआ है। पुराने रिकॉर्ड का बैकअप मिलने के बाद जांच को आगे बढ़ाया जाएगा और उसी आधार पर अंतिम कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

One Stop Centre Counsellor Removed Amid Allegations; Further Action to Follow Inquiry

Hapur: Authorities have removed a counsellor from the district's One Stop Centre following allegations that survivors staying at the facility were made to perform personal and household tasks. A departmental inquiry is underway, and officials say stricter action, including termination of service, may follow if the allegations are confirmed.

The issue came to light after an advocate filed a complaint in June, alleging that residents of the shelter were being asked to carry out domestic chores. The complaint further claimed that a counsellor allegedly asked the survivors to massage her head, press her hands and feet, and even remove lice from her hair. A video was also submitted along with the complaint.

Taking the matter seriously, the district administration ordered an inquiry. Based on the preliminary findings, counsellor Ravita Chauhan has been removed from the One Stop Centre with immediate effect. The Centre Manager has received a final warning, while other staff members have also been instructed to strictly follow official guidelines.

District Probation Officer Smita Singh stated that if the allegations are established during the inquiry, the counsellor's services will be terminated.

In her explanation, the counsellor stated that she was unwell and had taken medicine before resting at the centre. She claimed she was unaware when the survivor came near her and started touching her hair. However, officials found this explanation unsatisfactory during the preliminary investigation. According to the inquiry, the viral video appears to show the survivor removing lice from the counsellor's hair.

Officials have also reviewed CCTV footage installed at the centre. So far, recordings from 19 June to 29 June have been recovered. They said the investigation will continue after the remaining backup footage becomes available, following which a final decision will be taken.
