हापुड़। स्कूली बच्चों की सुरक्षा को लेकर परिवहन विभाग ने सख्त रुख अपनाते हुए जिले में बिना वैध फिटनेस और परमिट के संचालित हो रहे स्कूली वाहनों के खिलाफ विशेष अभियान शुरू कर दिया है। परिवहन आयुक्त उत्तर प्रदेश के निर्देश पर चलाए जा रहे ‘मिशन सेफ फ्यूचर’ अभियान के तहत ऐसे वाहनों पर प्रवर्तन कार्रवाई तेज कर दी गई है जिनकी फिटनेस अथवा परमिट की वैधता समाप्त हो चुकी है।

परिवहन विभाग के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि जुलाई माह के प्रथम सप्ताह में विशेष जांच अभियान चलाया जाएगा, जिसके तहत स्कूल वाहनों के सभी आवश्यक प्रपत्रों की गहन जांच की जाएगी। अभियान का मुख्य उद्देश्य स्कूली बच्चों की सुरक्षित यात्रा सुनिश्चित करना तथा सड़क दुर्घटनाओं की संभावनाओं को न्यूनतम करना है।

विभाग द्वारा की गई कार्रवाई में अब तक फिटनेस और परमिट की अवधि समाप्त होने के बावजूद संचालित पाए गए आठ स्कूली वाहनों के पंजीयन प्रमाण पत्र (आरसी) निलंबित कर दिए गए हैं। अधिकारियों ने स्पष्ट चेतावनी दी है कि आगामी दिनों में चलाए जाने वाले सघन प्रवर्तन अभियान के दौरान नियमों का उल्लंघन करने वाले वाहन स्वामियों के खिलाफ मोटर वाहन अधिनियम के तहत कठोर कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

परिवहन विभाग का कहना है कि कई बार वाहन स्वामी समय पर फिटनेस और परमिट का नवीनीकरण नहीं कराते, जिससे स्कूली बच्चों की सुरक्षा पर खतरा उत्पन्न हो जाता है। ऐसे वाहनों की तकनीकी स्थिति भी संतोषजनक नहीं पाई जाती, जो किसी भी समय दुर्घटना का कारण बन सकती है। इसी को ध्यान में रखते हुए शासन स्तर से विशेष निगरानी के निर्देश जारी किए गए हैं।

विभाग ने जिले के सभी स्कूल संचालकों और प्रधानाचार्यों से भी अपील की है कि छात्र-छात्राओं की सुरक्षा को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता देते हुए ऐसे किसी भी वाहन का संचालन विद्यालय से संबद्ध न होने दें, जिसकी फिटनेस, परमिट अथवा अन्य आवश्यक दस्तावेजों की वैधता समाप्त हो चुकी हो। विद्यालय प्रबंधन स्वयं भी समय-समय पर वाहनों के दस्तावेजों की जांच सुनिश्चित करें।

वहीं अभिभावकों से भी अनुरोध किया गया है कि वे अपने बच्चों को केवल उन्हीं स्कूली वाहनों से विद्यालय भेजें जिनके सभी दस्तावेज वैध हों। यदि किसी वाहन के दस्तावेजों को लेकर संदेह हो तो इसकी जानकारी तत्काल संबंधित विद्यालय या परिवहन विभाग को दें।

परिवहन विभाग के अधिकारियों ने कहा कि ‘मिशन सेफ फ्यूचर’ केवल एक प्रवर्तन अभियान नहीं, बल्कि बच्चों के सुरक्षित भविष्य से जुड़ा जन-जागरूकता अभियान है। विभाग का लक्ष्य है कि जनपद में संचालित सभी स्कूली वाहन शत-प्रतिशत फिटनेस और परमिट से आच्छादित हों, ताकि बच्चों की सुरक्षा के साथ किसी प्रकार का समझौता न हो सके।

Mission Safe Future: Strict Action Against School Vehicles Operating Without Valid Fitness and Permits, Registration Certificates of 8 Vehicles Suspended

Hapur: In a major step to ensure the safety of schoolchildren, the Transport Department has launched a special enforcement drive against school vehicles operating without valid fitness certificates and permits in the district. Acting on the directives of the Transport Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh, the campaign is being conducted under the statewide "Mission Safe Future" initiative.

According to officials, a special inspection drive will be carried out during the first week of July to verify the fitness and permit status of all school vehicles. The primary objective of the campaign is to ensure the safe transportation of students and prevent any untoward incidents caused by the operation of unauthorized or unfit vehicles.

As part of the ongoing enforcement action, the Registration Certificates (RCs) of eight school vehicles found operating with expired fitness certificates or permits have already been suspended. Transport officials have warned that strict action will continue against vehicle owners who fail to renew mandatory documents in accordance with the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Officials stated that operating school vehicles without valid fitness certificates and permits poses a serious risk to the safety of children. Vehicles that are not regularly inspected and certified may develop mechanical faults, increasing the likelihood of road accidents. Therefore, the department has intensified monitoring and enforcement to ensure full compliance with safety regulations.

The Transport Department has also appealed to all school principals and management authorities to prioritize student safety and ensure that no school vehicle with expired documents is allowed to operate. Schools have been advised to regularly verify the validity of fitness certificates, permits, and other mandatory documents of vehicles engaged in student transportation.

Parents have also been urged to send their children only in school vehicles that possess valid permits and fitness certificates. If any concerns arise regarding the documentation or safety of a vehicle, parents are encouraged to immediately inform the school administration or the Transport Department.

Officials emphasized that Mission Safe Future is not merely an enforcement exercise but a comprehensive public safety initiative aimed at protecting the future of children. The department's goal is to achieve 100 percent compliance in fitness certification and permit renewal among all school vehicles operating in Hapur district, ensuring safe and secure transportation for every student.
