रिश्वत लेते रंगे हाथ दबोचा गया बिजली विभाग का जेई, एंटी करप्शन टीम की कार्रवाई से मचा हड़कंप

हापुड़। जनपद में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ एंटी करप्शन संगठन ने बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए ऊर्जा निगम के एक जूनियर इंजीनियर (जेई) को कथित तौर पर 12 हजार रुपये की रिश्वत लेते हुए रंगे हाथ गिरफ्तार कर लिया। कार्रवाई के बाद बिजली विभाग में हड़कंप मच गया। टीम आरोपी अधिकारी को अपने साथ लेकर आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई के लिए हापुड़ देहात थाने पहुंची।

जानकारी के अनुसार ऊर्जा निगम के ट्याला बिजलीघर पर तैनात जूनियर इंजीनियर सुधीर कुमार पर एक उपभोक्ता से नए बिजली कनेक्शन के नाम पर 12 हजार रुपये रिश्वत मांगने का आरोप है। शिकायतकर्ता का कहना है कि रिश्वत नहीं देने पर उसे लगातार परेशान किया जा रहा था और उसका कार्य जानबूझकर लंबित रखा गया।

बताया जाता है कि पीड़ित ने पूरे मामले की शिकायत मेरठ स्थित एंटी करप्शन संगठन से की। शिकायत की जांच के बाद टीम ने योजनाबद्ध तरीके से कार्रवाई की। सोमवार को शिकायतकर्ता से रिश्वत की रकम लेते समय टीम ने जेई को मौके पर ही पकड़ लिया।

कार्रवाई के दौरान टीम ने आवश्यक साक्ष्य जुटाने के बाद आरोपी को हिरासत में ले लिया। इसके बाद उसे हापुड़ देहात थाने लाया गया, जहां आगे की विधिक कार्रवाई की प्रक्रिया शुरू कराई गई।

घटना के बाद ऊर्जा निगम के अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों में भी चर्चा का माहौल बना रहा। वहीं एंटी करप्शन टीम की इस कार्रवाई को भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ सख्त संदेश माना जा रहा है।

Hapur Power Department Junior Engineer Caught Red-Handed Taking ₹12,000 Bribe

Hapur: In a major anti-corruption operation, the Anti-Corruption Organization allegedly caught a Junior Engineer (JE) of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹12,000. The action created a stir in the electricity department. After the arrest, the accused was taken to Hapur Dehat Police Station for further legal proceedings.

According to officials, Sudhir Kumar, a Junior Engineer posted at the Tyala Power Substation, allegedly demanded ₹12,000 from a consumer in exchange for providing a new electricity connection. The complainant alleged that the JE was repeatedly harassing him and delaying his work after he refused to pay the bribe.

The victim later approached the Meerut Anti-Corruption Team and lodged a formal complaint. After verifying the allegations, the team laid a trap. On Monday, as soon as the accused accepted the marked currency from the complainant, the anti-corruption officials arrested him on the spot.

The team completed the necessary formalities and took the accused into custody before bringing him to Hapur Dehat Police Station for further legal action under the relevant provisions of the law.

The operation sent shockwaves through the power department and is being seen as a strong message against corruption in government offices. The investigation is continuing.
