हापुड़ में आंधी-तूफान के दौरान क्षतिग्रस्त बताए गए ट्रांसफार्मरों के मामले में ऊर्जा निगम ने जांच प्रक्रिया सख्त कर दी है। दैवीय आपदा राहत कोष से नुकसान की भरपाई के लिए भेजे गए प्रस्तावों की समीक्षा के दौरान अब सभी संबंधित डिवीजनों से जीपीएस लोकेशन के साथ ट्रांसफार्मरों और क्षतिग्रस्त बिजली ढांचे की तस्वीरें मांगी गई हैं। जिन फाइलों में आवश्यक फोटो उपलब्ध नहीं हैं, उन्हें आपत्ति दर्ज कर वापस भेजा जा रहा है।

ऊर्जा निगम के रिकॉर्ड के अनुसार, 30 अप्रैल से 29 मई के बीच आए कई आंधी-तूफानों में 501 बिजली के खंभे और 139 ट्रांसफार्मर प्रभावित हुए। इन आंकड़ों के आधार पर तीनों डिवीजनों की रिपोर्ट को एकत्र कर राहत कोष से मुआवजे के लिए प्रस्ताव तैयार किया गया था।

हालांकि, एक साथ बड़ी संख्या में ट्रांसफार्मरों के क्षतिग्रस्त होने के दावे पर सवाल उठने के बाद मामला चर्चा में आ गया। इस संबंध में शिकायत भी की गई, जिसके बाद पूरे प्रकरण की जांच शुरू कर दी गई है।

अधीक्षण अभियंता सुभाष चंद्र के अनुसार, प्राकृतिक आपदा के दौरान ट्रांसफार्मर मुख्य रूप से पेड़ गिरने, बिजली के खंभे टूटने या आकाशीय बिजली गिरने से क्षतिग्रस्त हो सकते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि सभी डिवीजनों से जीपीएस टैग वाली तस्वीरें मांगी गई हैं और भविष्य में बिना फोटो के कोई भी दावा स्वीकार नहीं किया जाएगा।

उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि यदि जांच में किसी भी स्तर पर लापरवाही या अनियमितता सामने आती है तो संबंधित अधिकारियों के खिलाफ नियमानुसार कार्रवाई की जाएगी। हाल ही में मुकीमपुर बिजलीघर क्षेत्र से भेजी गई एक फाइल भी आवश्यक फोटो न होने के कारण वापस लौटा दी गई।

Hapur: Power Department Seeks GPS-Tagged Photos of Damaged Transformers Amid Investigation

The Power Department in Hapur has tightened the verification process in connection with transformers reportedly damaged during recent storms. Officials have instructed all three power divisions to submit GPS-tagged photographs of damaged transformers and electrical infrastructure before claims for compensation under the Natural Disaster Relief Fund are processed.

According to departmental records, multiple storms between April 30 and May 29 allegedly damaged 501 electricity poles and 139 transformers. Based on reports received from the three divisions, a consolidated proposal was prepared to seek financial assistance from the disaster relief fund.

However, questions were raised over the unusually high number of damaged transformers, leading to complaints and the initiation of an official inquiry into the matter.

Superintending Engineer Subhash Chandra stated that transformers can be damaged during natural disasters due to falling trees, collapsed electricity poles, or lightning strikes. He said GPS-enabled photographs have now been made mandatory for all such claims, and files lacking proper photographic evidence will not be accepted.

He further emphasized that any negligence or irregularity found during the investigation will invite strict departmental action. Recently, a file related to damage in the Mukimpur power station area was returned because it did not include photographs of the damaged poles.
