हापुड़। जनपद में अवैध शराब के निर्माण, बिक्री और परिवहन पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए आबकारी विभाग का अभियान लगातार जारी है। इसी क्रम में सोमवार को गढ़मुक्तेश्वर क्षेत्र के ग्राम चकलठीरा के जंगल में आबकारी विभाग ने बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए करीब 90 लीटर कच्ची शराब और 800 किलोग्राम लहन बरामद कर मौके पर ही नष्ट कर दिया। विभाग की इस कार्रवाई से अवैध शराब कारोबारियों में हड़कंप मच गया।

यह कार्रवाई उत्तर प्रदेश शासन एवं आबकारी आयुक्त के निर्देश पर जिलाधिकारी हापुड़, संयुक्त आबकारी आयुक्त मेरठ जोन, उप आबकारी आयुक्त मेरठ तथा जिला आबकारी अधिकारी हापुड़ के निर्देशन में चलाए जा रहे विशेष प्रवर्तन अभियान के तहत की गई।

आबकारी निरीक्षक क्षेत्र-1 और क्षेत्र-2 की संयुक्त टीम ने ग्राम चकलठीरा के जंगल में दबिश देकर अवैध शराब बनाने के ठिकानों की तलाशी ली। इस दौरान मौके से बड़ी मात्रा में कच्ची शराब और लहन बरामद हुआ, जिसे नियमानुसार मौके पर ही नष्ट करा दिया गया ताकि उसका दोबारा उपयोग न हो सके।

अभियान के दौरान टीम ने क्षेत्र में अवैध शराब की बिक्री की संभावित जगहों और प्राप्त शिकायतों के आधार पर चिन्हित स्थलों पर भी छापेमारी की। साथ ही आबकारी निरीक्षक क्षेत्र-1 ने अपने क्षेत्र की शराब दुकानों का निरीक्षण कर संचालकों को पीओएस मशीन से शत-प्रतिशत बिक्री दर्ज करने के निर्देश दिए।

जिला आबकारी अधिकारी ने स्पष्ट चेतावनी दी कि जनपद की किसी भी शराब की दुकान पर निर्धारित मूल्य से अधिक कीमत वसूलने की शिकायत मिलने पर संबंधित के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी। उन्होंने कहा कि अवैध शराब के निर्माण, बिक्री और परिवहन के खिलाफ अभियान आगे भी लगातार जारी रहेगा।

Excise Department Cracks Down on Illegal Liquor in Hapur, 90 Litres of Illicit Liquor Destroyed

Hapur: The Excise Department intensified its drive against the illegal manufacture, sale, and transportation of liquor on Monday by carrying out a major enforcement operation in Garhmukteshwar. During a raid in the forests of Chaklathira village, officials seized around 90 litres of illicit country liquor and 800 kilograms of fermented mash (lahan), which were destroyed on the spot.

The operation was conducted under the directions of the District Magistrate, Hapur, the Joint Excise Commissioner (Meerut Zone), the Deputy Excise Commissioner, Meerut, and the District Excise Officer as part of the state-wide enforcement campaign launched on the instructions of the Uttar Pradesh Government and the Excise Commissioner.

A joint team of Excise Inspectors from Circle-1 and Circle-2 raided suspected locations in the forest area and dismantled illegal liquor manufacturing activities. The seized liquor and raw material were immediately destroyed to prevent further misuse.

The enforcement team also inspected other suspected locations based on complaints regarding illegal liquor sales. In addition, liquor outlets under Circle-1 were inspected, and shopkeepers were directed to ensure 100% sales through POS machines for transparency.

The District Excise Officer warned that overpricing at liquor shops would not be tolerated under any circumstances. Strict action will be taken against any outlet found charging above the prescribed rates. Officials said the campaign against illegal liquor will continue across the district in the coming days.
