धौलाना। उत्तर प्रदेश के धौलाना क्षेत्र के रजवाहे में कुछ दिन पहले मिले अज्ञात युवक के शव की पहचान हो गई है। मृतक की पहचान गाजियाबाद निवासी सुमित वाल्मीकि के रूप में हुई है, जो दिल्ली जल बोर्ड में चालक (ड्राइवर) के पद पर कार्यरत थे। सुमित 6 जुलाई से लापता थे। शव की पहचान होने के बाद पुलिस मामले की सभी पहलुओं से जांच कर रही है। प्रारंभिक परिस्थितियों के आधार पर हत्या की आशंका भी जांच के दायरे में है।

कैसे हुए थे लापता?

परिजनों के अनुसार, सुमित 6 जुलाई को घर से गाजियाबाद जाने की बात कहकर निकले थे, लेकिन देर रात तक वापस नहीं लौटे। काफी तलाश के बावजूद उनका कोई सुराग नहीं मिला। इसके बाद 7 जुलाई को गाजियाबाद के संबंधित थाने में उनकी गुमशुदगी दर्ज कराई गई।

रजवाहे में मिला था क्षत-विक्षत शव

इसी दौरान धौलाना क्षेत्र के एक रजवाहे से पुलिस ने एक अज्ञात युवक का शव बरामद किया था। कई दिनों तक पानी में रहने के कारण शव काफी क्षत-विक्षत हो चुका था, जिससे उसकी पहचान तुरंत नहीं हो सकी। बाद में परिजनों ने कपड़ों और अन्य उपलब्ध साक्ष्यों के आधार पर शव की पहचान सुमित वाल्मीकि के रूप में की।

हत्या की आशंका, जांच जारी

पुलिस के अनुसार, शव की स्थिति अत्यधिक खराब होने के कारण पोस्टमार्टम में मौत का स्पष्ट कारण सामने नहीं आया है। इसी वजह से जांच टीम हत्या सहित सभी संभावित पहलुओं को ध्यान में रखकर जांच कर रही है। आशंका जताई जा रही है कि यदि हत्या हुई है, तो घटना किसी अन्य स्थान पर हुई होगी और बाद में शव को रजवाहे में फेंका गया होगा। हालांकि, पुलिस ने अभी इसकी आधिकारिक पुष्टि नहीं की है।

पुलिस जुटी जांच में

पुलिस सुमित के मोबाइल फोन की कॉल डिटेल, लोकेशन, सीसीटीवी फुटेज और अन्य तकनीकी साक्ष्यों की जांच कर रही है। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि मामले की गहन जांच जारी है और उपलब्ध साक्ष्यों के आधार पर आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

Missing Since July 6

According to family members, Sumit left home on July 6, saying he was going to Ghaziabad, but never returned. After an unsuccessful search, his family lodged a missing person report at a Ghaziabad police station on July 7.

Body Recovered from Canal

Meanwhile, police recovered the body of an unidentified man from a canal in the Dhaulana area. Since the body had remained in the water for several days, it was badly decomposed, making immediate identification impossible. Later, family members identified the deceased through his clothing and other available evidence.

Murder Suspected, Investigation Ongoing

Police officials said the condition of the body made it difficult for the post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. As a result, investigators are examining all possible angles, including homicide. Investigators suspect that if a murder occurred, the crime may have taken place elsewhere before the body was dumped into the canal. However, police have not officially confirmed this theory.

The investigation team is examining Sumit's call detail records, mobile phone location, CCTV footage, and other forensic evidence. Police officials stated that the investigation is progressing on all fronts, and appropriate legal action will be taken once the facts are established.
