हापुड़। मोनाड विश्वविद्यालय में देश का 80वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह हर्षोल्लास, गरिमा और देशभक्ति के वातावरण में धूमधाम से मनाया गया। विश्वविद्यालय परिसर में आयोजित समारोह में कुलपति डॉ. एम. जावेद, कुलसचिव कर्नल डी.पी. सिंह, प्रो-चांसलर डॉ. एन.के. सिंह एवं अतिरिक्त कुलसचिव श्री सुहैल अहमद ने राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया। इसके बाद सभी ने सामूहिक रूप से राष्ट्रगान गाया।

इस अवसर पर कुलपति डॉ. एम. जावेद ने कहा कि स्वतंत्रता दिवस केवल एक राष्ट्रीय पर्व नहीं, बल्कि यह महान स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के त्याग, संघर्ष और बलिदान को याद करने का अवसर भी है। उन्होंने कहा कि देश की स्वतंत्रता और अखंडता को बनाए रखना प्रत्येक नागरिक का नैतिक एवं राष्ट्रीय दायित्व है।

विद्यार्थियों को संबोधित करते हुए कुलपति ने कहा कि युवा देश की सबसे बड़ी शक्ति हैं। युवाओं को शिक्षा के साथ अनुशासन, नैतिक मूल्यों, राष्ट्रप्रेम और सामाजिक जिम्मेदारियों को भी अपने जीवन का अभिन्न हिस्सा बनाना चाहिए। उन्होंने सभी से ‘विकसित भारत’ के निर्माण में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाने और राष्ट्र की प्रगति में योगदान देने का आह्वान किया।

नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान के तहत दिलाई शपथ

स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह के दौरान भारत सरकार के नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान के अंतर्गत विशेष जागरूकता कार्यक्रम भी आयोजित किया गया। डॉ. मूल राज सिंह ने शिक्षकगण, कर्मचारीगण और विद्यार्थियों को नशा मुक्त भारत के निर्माण की शपथ दिलाई।

इस दौरान सभी ने देश को नशे की बुराई से मुक्त करने, स्वयं नशे से दूर रहने और समाज में नशा मुक्ति के प्रति जागरूकता फैलाने का संकल्प लिया।

समारोह के दौरान विश्वविद्यालय परिसर देशभक्ति और राष्ट्रप्रेम के उत्साह से सराबोर रहा। उपस्थित लोगों ने राष्ट्र की एकता, अखंडता और समृद्धि के लिए मिलकर संकल्प लिया।

इस अवसर पर कुलसचिव ने मोनाड विश्वविद्यालय परिवार की ओर से सभी देशवासियों को स्वतंत्रता दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं दीं।

80th Independence Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Monad University, Students Take Pledge for Drug-Free India

Hapur: The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, dignity and patriotic spirit at Monad University. A special ceremony was organised on the university campus, where Vice Chancellor Dr. M. Javed, Registrar Col. D.P. Singh, Pro-Chancellor Dr. N.K. Singh and Additional Registrar Mr. Suhail Ahmed hoisted the national flag. The ceremony was followed by the collective singing of the National Anthem.

Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Dr. M. Javed said that Independence Day is not merely a national festival but also an occasion to remember the sacrifice, struggle and contribution of the freedom fighters. He said that protecting the country's independence and integrity is the moral and national responsibility of every citizen.

Addressing the students, the Vice Chancellor said that the youth are the greatest strength of the nation. He urged students to make discipline, moral values, patriotism and social responsibility an integral part of their lives along with education.

He also called upon everyone to actively contribute towards building a “Developed India” and play their role in the progress of the nation.

Pledge Taken Under Drug-Free India Campaign

A special awareness programme was also organised under the Government of India's Drug-Free India Campaign. Dr. Mool Raj Singh administered the pledge to teachers, employees and students.

Those present pledged to stay away from drugs, contribute towards making the country free from drug abuse and spread awareness about de-addiction in society.

The university campus remained filled with patriotic enthusiasm throughout the programme. Students, teachers and staff members collectively resolved to contribute towards the unity, integrity and prosperity of the nation. The Registrar extended warm Independence Day greetings to all citizens on behalf of the entire Monad University family.
