कांवड़ यात्रा के अंतिम चार दिन में और कड़ा पहरा, DIG पैदल गश्त कर परखी सुरक्षा

मेरठ में कांवड़ यात्रा के अंतिम चरण को लेकर DIG कलानिधि नैथानी ने बेगमपुल व कांवड़ मार्गों पर पैदल गश्त कर सुरक्षा व्यवस्था परखी। ड्रोन निगरानी, छतों की चेकिंग, अतिरिक्त QRT और मोबाइल पुलिसिंग के निर्देश दिए।

मेरठ। श्रावण मास की कांवड़ यात्रा को सकुशल, सुरक्षित और व्यवस्थित ढंग से संपन्न कराने के लिए पुलिस-प्रशासन ने सुरक्षा व्यवस्था और कड़ी कर दी है। कांवड़ यात्रा के अंतिम चरण में श्रद्धालुओं की बढ़ती भीड़ को देखते हुए मेरठ रेंज के डीआईजी कलानिधि नैथानी शुक्रवार को बेगमपुल और आसपास के कांवड़ मार्गों पर पैदल निकले। उन्होंने संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों का निरीक्षण कर सुरक्षा और यातायात व्यवस्था का जायजा लिया। इस दौरान उन्होंने मौके पर मौजूद पुलिस अधिकारियों और फोर्स को आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देश दिए।

डीआईजी कलानिधि नैथानी ने वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक मेरठ अविनाश पांडेय समेत अन्य अधिकारियों के साथ बेगमपुल, आसपास के कांवड़ मार्गों और संवेदनशील स्थानों का पैदल भ्रमण किया। उन्होंने मौके पर तैनात सुपर जोनल, जोनल पुलिस अधिकारियों और क्षेत्राधिकारियों को ब्रीफ करते हुए अगले चार दिनों के लिए विशेष सतर्कता बरतने के निर्देश दिए।

निरीक्षण के दौरान डीआईजी ने RRTS मेट्रो, एटीएस, आरआरएफ, एसएसएफ और एएस चेक टीम के प्रभारियों के साथ समन्वय बैठक भी की। उन्होंने सुरक्षा व्यवस्था, यातायात प्रबंधन, पुलिस बल की तैनाती और संवेदनशील स्थानों की निगरानी की समीक्षा की। एटीएस और आरआरएफ के जवानों को संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में विशेष सतर्कता बरतने तथा किसी भी आकस्मिक स्थिति में तत्काल कार्रवाई करने के निर्देश दिए गए।

डीआईजी ने विभिन्न प्रकार के ड्रोन का परीक्षण भी कराया। इसके साथ ही आसपास की इमारतों की छतों की जांच कराई गई, ताकि किसी भी संदिग्ध गतिविधि की संभावना को समय रहते रोका जा सके। पुलिस अधिकारियों को ड्रोन निगरानी के साथ-साथ जमीनी स्तर पर भी लगातार सक्रिय रहने के निर्देश दिए गए।

कांवड़ यात्रा में सुरक्षा व्यवस्था केवल प्रमुख चौराहों तक सीमित न रहे, इस पर भी डीआईजी ने विशेष जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि चौराहों पर पुलिसकर्मियों की तैनाती के साथ-साथ चौराहों के बीच पड़ने वाले कांवड़ मार्गों पर भी मोबाइल पुलिसिंग लगातार सक्रिय रखी जाए। टैंक चौराहा से माल रोड तक यातायात व्यवस्था को बेहतर रखने के लिए मोटरसाइकिल मोबाइल को सक्रिय रखने के निर्देश दिए गए।

डीआईजी ने बाबा औघड़नाथ मंदिर की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की भी समीक्षा की। उन्होंने मंदिर परिसर में तैयार किए जा रहे सीसीटीवी कंट्रोल रूम को अगले दिन तक तैयार करने के निर्देश दिए। साथ ही रिजर्व क्यूआरटी को निर्धारित स्थान पर सक्रिय रखने और आवश्यकता पड़ने पर अधिकारियों को तत्काल उपलब्ध कराने के निर्देश दिए।

उन्होंने सभी पुलिस अधिकारियों को एलआईयू के लगातार संपर्क में रहने के निर्देश दिए, जिससे किसी भी संदिग्ध गतिविधि या महत्वपूर्ण सूचना पर तत्काल संज्ञान लिया जा सके। ड्यूटी में लगे पुलिसकर्मियों की शत-प्रतिशत उपस्थिति सुनिश्चित करने के लिए भी विशेष प्रबंध करने को कहा गया। गैरहाजिर पाए जाने वाले पुलिसकर्मियों के खिलाफ दंडात्मक कार्रवाई के निर्देश दिए गए।

कांवड़ मार्गों पर यातायात व्यवस्था को लेकर भी डीआईजी ने अधिकारियों को सख्त निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रमुख चौराहों और मार्गों पर जाम की स्थिति नहीं बननी चाहिए। इसके लिए आवश्यकता के अनुसार अतिरिक्त पुलिस बल और मोबाइल टीमों को तत्काल सक्रिय किया जाए तथा यातायात का निरंतर संचालन सुनिश्चित किया जाए।

उन्होंने कहा कि समस्त जोनल अधिकारी एटीएस और कांवड़ मोबाइल के साथ लगातार संपर्क में रहें, ताकि किसी भी सूचना पर त्वरित कार्रवाई की जा सके। सभी मोर्चों और ड्यूटी प्वाइंट पर तैनात पुलिस बल पूरी तरह सक्रिय और सतर्क रहना चाहिए।

कांवड़ यात्रा के दौरान धार्मिक माहौल को देखते हुए डीआईजी ने शराब की दुकानों को पूरी तरह ढके रखने तथा मीट और अंडे आदि की दुकानों को पूरी तरह बंद रखने के निर्देश दिए। अधिकारियों को शासन और पुलिस मुख्यालय की मंशा एवं निर्देशों के अनुरूप सुरक्षा व्यवस्था बनाए रखने को कहा गया।

डीआईजी ने जनप्रतिनिधियों और कांवड़ शिविर संचालकों से भी संवाद किया। उन्होंने उनकी समस्याओं और सुझावों की जानकारी लेते हुए पुलिस व्यवस्था में आवश्यक सुधार के निर्देश दिए। शिविर संचालकों से अपील की गई कि किसी भी संदिग्ध गतिविधि अथवा आपात स्थिति की सूचना तत्काल पुलिस को दें।

निरीक्षण के दौरान डीआईजी कलानिधि नैथानी ने ड्यूटी पर तैनात पुलिसकर्मियों की हौसला अफजाई भी की। उन्होंने कहा कि कांवड़ यात्रा के अंतिम चार दिन बेहद महत्वपूर्ण हैं। सभी थाना प्रभारी और चौकी प्रभारी पूरी जिम्मेदारी और मनोयोग से ड्यूटी करें। थाना क्षेत्रों में बाहर से आए फोर्स के भरोसे पूरी व्यवस्था न छोड़ी जाए, बल्कि स्थानीय पुलिस अधिकारी स्वयं फील्ड में रहकर निगरानी करें।

उन्होंने स्पष्ट कहा कि कांवड़ यात्रा के दौरान सुरक्षा और व्यवस्था में किसी भी स्तर पर कमी नहीं रहनी चाहिए। शासन और पुलिस मुख्यालय की मंशा के अनुरूप सभी अधिकारी और कर्मचारी पूरी सतर्कता, अनुशासन और समर्पण के साथ अपनी ड्यूटी करें। भ्रमण के दौरान वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक मेरठ अविनाश पांडेय सहित जनपदीय पुलिस एवं प्रशासनिक अधिकारी, बाहरी जनपदों से आए सुपर जोनल पुलिस अधिकारी और विभिन्न सुरक्षा बलों के अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।

Kanwar Yatra Security Tightened in Meerut, DIG Kalanidhi Naithani Conducts Foot Patrol at Begumpul

Meerut: With the final phase of the Kanwar Yatra underway, the Meerut Police has further intensified security arrangements across major Kanwar routes and sensitive areas. Meerut Range Deputy Inspector General Kalanidhi Naithani conducted a foot patrol at Begumpul and adjoining Kanwar routes on Friday and reviewed security and traffic arrangements.

During the inspection, DIG Kalanidhi Naithani, accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Meerut Avinash Pandey and other senior officials, visited sensitive locations and interacted with police personnel deployed on the routes. Super-zonal and zonal police officers as well as Circle Officers were briefed on the spot and given necessary instructions for the next four crucial days of the Kanwar Yatra.

The DIG also held a coordination meeting with officials responsible for RRTS Metro, ATS, RRF, SSF and AS Check Teams. Security arrangements, traffic management, deployment of police personnel and preparedness for emergency situations were reviewed during the meeting.

ATS and RRF personnel were specifically instructed to maintain heightened vigilance at sensitive locations and ensure an immediate response in case of any emergency.

During the inspection, different types of drones were also tested for surveillance. Nearby rooftops were checked as part of the security exercise. Officials were directed to maintain both aerial and ground-level surveillance throughout the Kanwar routes.

DIG Naithani emphasized that police deployment should not remain limited to major intersections. He directed officials to maintain active mobile policing on intermediate stretches between designated duty points. A motorcycle mobile unit was ordered to remain active between Tank Crossing and Mall Road to strengthen traffic management.

Security arrangements at Baba Augharnath Temple were also reviewed. The DIG directed officials to complete the CCTV control room at the temple by the following day. He also ordered that the reserve QRT remain deployed at its designated location and be made available to senior officers whenever required.

All police personnel were directed to remain in constant contact with the Local Intelligence Unit so that any suspicious activity or important information could be acted upon immediately. Special arrangements were also ordered to ensure that personnel assigned to Kanwar duty remain present at their designated posts. Action was ordered against those found absent without authorization.

Traffic management was another major focus of the inspection. DIG Naithani directed officials to ensure that traffic jams do not develop on major intersections and Kanwar routes. Additional police personnel and mobile teams should be activated immediately whenever required.

He also instructed zonal officers to remain in constant coordination with ATS and Kanwar Mobile teams to ensure a quick response to any security-related information.

As part of maintaining a peaceful and disciplined environment during the pilgrimage, officials were directed to ensure that liquor shops remained completely covered and meat and egg shops remained closed during the designated period.

The DIG also interacted with Kanwar camp operators and public representatives and sought their feedback regarding security and arrangements. He encouraged them to immediately inform the police about any suspicious activity or emergency.

DIG Kalanidhi Naithani also boosted the morale of police personnel deployed on Kanwar duty and instructed them to remain fully alert and dedicated during the next four days.

He emphasized that there should be no compromise whatsoever in security and law-and-order arrangements during the Kanwar Yatra and directed all personnel to work strictly according to government, administrative and police headquarters instructions.

Senior Superintendent of Police Meerut Avinash Pandey, district police and administrative officials, super-zonal officers from other districts and personnel from various security units were present during the inspection.
