बसपा से निष्कासन के बाद भाजपा में शामिल हुईं हापुड़ पालिकाध्यक्ष पुष्पा देवी, दहेज उत्पीड़न केस के बाद बदले सियासी समीकरण

हापुड़ पालिकाध्यक्ष पुष्पा देवी और श्रीपाल सिंह बसपा से निष्कासन के बाद भाजपा में शामिल हुए। दहेज उत्पीड़न केस के बाद बदले राजनीतिक समीकरणों से जिले की सियासत में नई हलचल तेज हो गई है।

हापुड़। जनपद की राजनीति में रविवार को बड़ा सियासी घटनाक्रम देखने को मिला। बहुजन समाज पार्टी (बसपा) से निष्कासित नगर पालिका परिषद हापुड़ की अध्यक्ष पुष्पा देवी ने अपने पति श्रीपाल सिंह के साथ भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) की सदस्यता ग्रहण कर ली। भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष पंकज चौधरी ने दोनों को पार्टी की सदस्यता दिलाई। स्थानीय निकाय चुनावों से पहले हुए इस राजनीतिक घटनाक्रम ने जिले की राजनीति में नई चर्चाओं को जन्म दे दिया है।

पुष्पा देवी और उनके परिवार का नाम उस समय सुर्खियों में आया था, जब प्रदेश की पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री एवं बसपा सुप्रीमो मायावती की भतीजी ने दहेज उत्पीड़न का गंभीर मामला दर्ज कराया था। न्यायालय के आदेश पर हापुड़ नगर पालिका अध्यक्ष पुष्पा देवी, उनके पति श्रीपाल सिंह, पुत्र विशाल समेत सात लोगों के खिलाफ दहेज उत्पीड़न, दहेज में 50 लाख रुपये और इंदिरापुरम में फ्लैट की मांग, मारपीट तथा अन्य गंभीर आरोपों में मुकदमा दर्ज किया गया था। शिकायत में जेठ और ससुर पर दुष्कर्म के प्रयास जैसे गंभीर आरोप भी लगाए गए थे। मामले में सभी आरोपियों के खिलाफ जांच जारी है। इस संबंध में अभी न्यायालय द्वारा कोई अंतिम निर्णय नहीं आया है।

मामले के सामने आने के बाद बसपा सुप्रीमो मायावती के निर्देश पर बसपा जिलाध्यक्ष डॉ. ए.के. कर्दम ने पुष्पा देवी, उनके पति श्रीपाल सिंह और पुत्र विशाल को पार्टी से निष्कासित कर दिया था। उस समय बसपा ने इसे संगठन की अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई बताया था। पार्टी से निष्कासन के बाद से ही दोनों के नए राजनीतिक ठिकाने को लेकर अटकलें लगाई जा रही थीं।

इन अटकलों पर रविवार को विराम लग गया, जब पुष्पा देवी और श्रीपाल सिंह ने भारतीय जनता पार्टी का दामन थाम लिया। भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष पंकज चौधरी ने दोनों का पार्टी में स्वागत करते हुए सदस्यता दिलाई। इस अवसर पर पार्टी के कई वरिष्ठ नेता और कार्यकर्ता भी मौजूद रहे।

भाजपा में शामिल होने के बाद पुष्पा देवी ने कहा कि उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ की जनकल्याणकारी नीतियों और विकास कार्यों से प्रभावित होकर भाजपा की सदस्यता ग्रहण की है। उन्होंने कहा कि वह पूरी निष्ठा के साथ संगठन को मजबूत करने और जनता की सेवा के लिए कार्य करेंगी। वहीं श्रीपाल सिंह ने कहा कि भाजपा राष्ट्रहित और विकास की राजनीति करने वाली पार्टी है। उन्होंने पार्टी नेतृत्व का आभार जताते हुए संगठन की विचारधारा के अनुरूप कार्य करने का भरोसा दिलाया।

राजनीतिक विश्लेषकों का मानना है कि बसपा से निष्कासन के बाद भाजपा में शामिल होने का यह फैसला आगामी निकाय और विधानसभा चुनावों के मद्देनजर जिले के राजनीतिक समीकरणों को प्रभावित कर सकता है। फिलहाल इस घटनाक्रम को लेकर राजनीतिक गलियारों में चर्चाएं तेज हैं।

Hapur Municipal Chairperson Pushpa Devi Joins BJP After Expulsion from BSP Amid Dowry Harassment Case

Hapur: In a major political development ahead of the upcoming local body elections, Hapur Municipal Council Chairperson Pushpa Devi, who was expelled from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with her husband, Shripal Singh, on Sunday. The couple was formally inducted into the party by BJP State President Pankaj Chaudhary, marking a significant shift in the district's political landscape.

Pushpa Devi and her family had earlier come under the spotlight after the niece of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP chief Mayawati filed a dowry harassment case against them. Acting on a court order, Hapur police registered an FIR against Pushpa Devi, her husband Shripal Singh, their son Vishal, and four other family members.

The complaint includes allegations of demanding ₹50 lakh in dowry and a flat in Indirapuram, along with charges of physical assault and other serious allegations. The FIR also contains allegations of an attempt to commit sexual assault against the complainant by her father-in-law and brother-in-law. The case is currently under police investigation, and no court has reached any conclusion regarding the allegations.

Following the registration of the case, the BSP leadership took disciplinary action and expelled Pushpa Devi, Shripal Singh, and their son Vishal from the party. Since then, speculation had been rife over their political future.

Those speculations came to an end on Sunday when the couple officially joined the BJP. Welcoming them into the party, BJP State President Pankaj Chaudhary expressed confidence that their inclusion would strengthen the party's organization ahead of the upcoming elections.

After joining the BJP, Pushpa Devi said she was inspired by the development-oriented policies and welfare initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. She pledged to work dedicatedly for the party and continue serving the public.

Shripal Singh also thanked the BJP leadership, stating that the BJP believes in development-oriented politics and national interest. He assured the party of his commitment to strengthening the organization.

Political observers believe the move could influence political equations in Hapur ahead of the local body and Assembly elections, making it one of the most discussed political developments in the district.
